Full-Time, Fixed Term Contract (12 month maternity cover)

Applications are invited for the fixed-term post of Head of Academic Liaison (Maternity Cover) in Library Services.

As Head of Academic Liaison (Maternity Cover) you will take a leading and strategic role in delivering and developing services and advocacy to the University with particular reference to liaison, teaching and researcher support. Key roles will include building effective relationships with academic departments and providing proactive leadership of the team of information consultants in their work with departments and students. You will also work closely across a range of Professional Services Departments to ensure an excellent student experience.

As a qualified information professional, you will have demonstrable experience of providing strong user-focused services within an academic environment as well as proven experience of leadership and effective management of staff. You will have the experience and motivation to develop and promote the role of the Library at all levels of the University as well as to manage change and initiate innovation.

As well as being able to think and operate strategically you will be an enthusiastic leader with excellent interpersonal skills and abilities to relate to staff, students and colleagues across the University and externally. As a member of the Library Services Management Team you will provide input to decision-making across the whole service.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.

This is a fixed term post to cover a period of maternity leave for 12 months. This appointment could end earlier than expected should the substantive post-holder return to work early.
