About the job

The Diploma of Screen and Media - Sports Media offers a unique industry-based learning experience with a focus on applied learning. With access to an elite Melbourne sporting club, students will build essential skills to deliver high quality digital content with practical outcomes and be well placed for employment in the sports industry.

The Swinburne PAVE Teacher is required to inspire, engage and educate our students for the 21st century. A PAVE teacher will implement industry best practice and apply current learning technologies and contemporary learning pedagogies. The PAVE teacher will work collaboratively within a team of education professionals. Within this team environment, they will plan deliver, assess, evaluate and ensure compliance of high quality education and training programs. This role requires our teachers to be able to customize and adapt our programs to meet our learners and clients’ needs that vary from certificate level through to diploma and associate degree levels.

For this role we are seeking individuals with relevant industry knowledge and experience in media production within a sporting context. Experience in producing programs and program segments, ability to oversee and coordinate industry projects and liaise with corporate partners. Specialist knowledge in digital platforms and social media, specialist facilitator for Audio production.

About you

Teaching in the Diploma of Screen & Media – Sports Media requires:

  • The technical skills to work with digital documents, create learning resources and design appealing LMS pages for student engagement;
  • Industry knowledge and experience within Sports Media.
  • Excellent facilitation skills to engage with students face to face.

The successful candidate will model professional attitudes in the classroom and in communications with students.
