Postdoctoral Scholar Positions

School of Science and Technology of Nazarbayev University invites applications for full-time Postdoctoral Scholar positions to commence in August  2019. We are primarily interested in candidates with expertise in the following areas:  

Robotics and Mechatronics 

We seek candidates with a commitment to excellence in both research and teaching. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and are expected to have publications in reputable journals and conferences in their areas of expertise. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.

The postdoctoral scholar will work under the supervision of a senior faculty member. The applicants are encouraged to contact the respective professors to identify research directions and further details on facilities and infrastructure. Postdoctoral Scholars are also expected to teach one course per semester relevant to their area of research and/or based on Department's needs. 

The NU campus is located in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, in the heart of the new and ultra-modern Left-Bank region of the city. Initial appointment is on a 1-year renewable contract with a possibility of annual renewal for up to 4 years maximum, subject to annual performance reviews. An attractive internationally competitive remuneration package will include: 

• Internationally competitive salary;
