Working within the award winning Law School, which is rapidly moving up the THE World Rankings, you will join a team of world-leading and internationally excellent legal scholars.  

You will contribute to research informed learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and undertake research, enterprise and scholarly activities, and income generation, contributing to the Faculty’s research profile. 

As regards specific teaching activities, areas of particular interest are criminal law, procedure and evidence, business law, conveyancing, commercial law, cyber law and information rights law, but other subject areas will be considered if aligned to an excellent track record of learning and teaching, research and income generation.

You must have excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to teach effectively on a range of programmes using a variety of approaches to student learning.  You will have a PhD and a research record enabling you to make a contribution to REF2021, and have clear plans to enhance that contribution.  It is also essential that you have had success in applying for external research funding and have appropriate knowledge of future potential funding bodies aligned to your area(s) of research interest.
