The Department of Computer & Information Sciences at Northumbria University has particular research strengths in Cyber Security and Networked Systems, HCI, Social Computing, Computational Intelligence and Visual Computing, Information Management and Data Analytics.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Vice-Chancellor's Fellow to strengthen and consolidate our research profile and activity. We are particularly interested in high-quality applications from candidates who will either align with our areas of existing strength, or support us in growing capacity in the areas including Robotics, Digital Forensics or Games. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your extensive knowledge and subject expertise through individual and collaborative academic activity.

Successful candidates will be selected according to the excellence of their research profile (candidates are encouraged to include a list of their best publications since 2014) and plans (candidates are also encouraged to include a two-page research plan in their application), regardless of their area of research interest.
