Zhejiang University (ZJU) is one of China’s top higher education institutions, as well as one of its oldest. Located in Hangzhou – one of China’s most picturesque cities – the University is organized across seven faculties and 36 schools. ZJU has over 53,000 students, over 53% of whom are postgraduate students. The University currently ranks among the top three on Chinese mainland and within the top 100 in the Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings and QS World University Rankings.  

The College of Media and International Culture at Zhejiang University was established in 2006. Its Department of Journalism, founded in 1958, is one of the earliest journalism education departments in China. According to the 2019 QS World University Ranking, the College is ranked among the top 150 globally and top 5 on Chinese mainland for Communication and Media Studies. The College seeks applicants for the following positions to begin Fall 2019.

Visiting Chair Professor

Responsibilities:

Candidates should be a leading international scholar with global impact in the field of media and communication. The successful candidates should work at ZJU for at least 2 months each year, and are expected to give scholarly talks, promote collaborative teaching and publications.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a PhD degree in above mentioned areas, hold a position of Professor, have a global impact in the field of media and communication.

Remuneration:

Salary will be paid according to the actual work time at ZJU.
