The Institute of Translational Medicine (ITM) was established in 2014 with mission to bridge the gap between basic science and clinical practice for better translation of bench-side breakthroughs to bedside therapies, and eventually to benefit patients.  The ITM has the capacity to recruit 80 investigators in various research fields with emphasis on multi-disciplinary and cross-functional collaborations. To date, the ITM has recruited 26 investigators.  The areas of major research focus include cancer, cardiovascular diseases and stem cell therapy, and new medical device development.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree with postdoctoral training or R&D work experience in the fields of biomedical science and bioengineering.  Strong track record of publications or unique translational techniques and willingness to work closely with the clinicians in affiliated hospitals are required.  Successful candidates will be recruited through “Hundred talents” program at the Zhejiang University in tenure track or tenured positions. Applicants at the level of associate professor or above with tenure in the overseas universities are particularly encouraged to apply.  

Successful candidates will have dual appointments at the ITM and one of affiliated hospitals.
