Our structure

Our University is structured into seven academic faculties, you can find out more about each of our faculties on our website. Whilst our academic faculties are structured along disciplinary lines, the research challenges we face however don’t necessarily respect a single discipline. We conduct interdisciplinary and impact-orientated research and research-led teaching to address challenges at regional, national and global levels. To achieve this our research is user-led and solutions focused, driven by the needs of our partners and stakeholders rather than our structure. We are committed to working across disciplines to help tackle global challenges.

Our academic faculties are supported by our Professional Services and Facilities Directorate teams. They support the work of our academics, providing efficient administrative and advisory services, as well as managing our premises, ensuring there is a safe and welcoming working environment for everyone at the university.
