The School of Law at the University of Aberdeen is looking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in the field of Air and Space Law.  Applications from high-quality candidates with a demonstrable capability to teach and publish in the commercial and/or regulatory dimension of the subject will be welcome.

The School of Law offers a range of LLB degrees, including programmes approved by the relevant Scots and English accrediting bodies, 5-year programmes involving language study and a year’s study abroad, and a two-year accelerated degree for graduates. A varied Graduate programme is offered including a range of taught Masters’ degrees.  Some of our programmes are offered by online distance learning as well as on campus. Furthermore, our School offers PhD/Doctoral and LLM by Research degrees.  

Start date is negotiable, but it would be advantageous if the candidate could take up the post prior to the end of July 2020.  

Salary will (for a candidate appointed as a Lecturer) be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7 salary scale (£41,526 - £49,552 per annum) and (for a candidate appointed as a Senior Lecturer) at the appropriate point on the Grade 8 salary scale (£52,559 - £59,135).  Placement upon the scale will be negotiable according to qualifications and experience.  

Any appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and depending on experience may be subject to a 3 year probation period.
