The Accounting and Financial Management Department at Northumbria University is seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate to join its  Economics Subject Group as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Economics and Finance. We aim to ensure that our students are offered an outstanding student experience, and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that they are able to contribute to this aspiration in a very practical, flexible and dynamic way.

The successful candidate will contribute to delivering the Faculty’s strategic priorities, which include the integration of excellent teaching, high quality research, and the provision of leadership on a range of diverse portfolios within an academic context. In addition, the role holder will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of curriculum content within undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the department. The role holder will also contribute to research activities, delivering appropriate research ‘outputs’, income generation and ‘impact’ as agreed by the department Research leadership team.  

This position will strengthen our profile with regard to applied micro-econometrics, increasing our capabilities in terms of quantitative research/teaching delivery and therefore we welcome applications from candidates with experience in these areas.
