The School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences is at the forefront of higher education in Pharmacy, Biomedical Science, Forensic Science, Chemistry and related areas, and has excellent working relationships with pharmaceutical providers, the NHS and industry.  We are looking for a highly professional, enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team.

You will have a PhD in Phytochemistry, and proven established research and teaching experience in Phytochemistry. You will complement existing research/teaching activities in the above area and you should have experience in the extraction, isolation, structure elucidation and bioactivity of Natural Products. Experience in the application of your research towards the formulation of cosmetic products will be an advantage.

You will be expected to contribute to the School’s BSc Chemistry, BSc Pharmaceutical Science, MSc in Natural Products Discovery and the MSc Cosmetic Science, as well as other relevant undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.  

In particular, you will be expected to actively engage in the development of the MSc Natural Products Discovery programme.

You will be encouraged to develop your own research within the Centre for Natural Products Discovery in conjunction with other members of the School, utilising the world-class research facilities available in the Life Science Building as well as in the James Parsons Building.
