We seek an intelligent and self-motivated postdoctoral research associate. The purpose of this position, funded by the Kay Kendall Leukaemia Fund (www.kklf.org.uk), is to perform high quality laboratory experiments to study the mechanisms by which B cell Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL) cells resist B cell receptor signalling inhibitor therapy using primary patient cells. The available project is at the intersection of immunology and cancer and affinity with at least one of these fields is essential. The project involves super resolution imaging, functional assays and flow cytometry. Experience with these techniques would be highly advantageous.

The successful applicant will work under direct supervision of Dr Hoogeboom but is expected to work independently in the lab. The post holder will be encouraged to provide intellectual input into the experimental design and direction of the project. He/She is expected to analyse and report data and present findings at local and (inter-)national meetings.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 18 months.   This is a full-time post.   The selection process will include a panel interview and a presentation.
