As an institution, Hartpury is developing a growing reputation for research and knowledge exchange in Equestrian Performance, Sport and Exercise Science and Animal and Agriculture. We are looking to recruit two Postgraduate Research Assistants to support the Equestrian Performance and Sport and Exercise Science Research Arenas. You will be working alongside staff and students, providing practical support for research projects, coordinating research seminars and events, and providing technical support for research equipment, as well as representing the Research Centres in marketing and careers events. Our unique environment offers outstanding opportunities to the successful candidate to develop their own research skills and to be part of a dynamic portfolio of research and industry engagement, alongside achieving a Masters qualification and completing your own research project. Candidates must be accepted upon a two year Postgraduate taught programme at Hartpury University to be eligible to apply for this position.

Previously, Research Assistants have supported twice yearly Equine Research Seminars, staff research projects, student research projects (from undergraduate to Postgraduate); delivery of Knowledge Exchange activities such as ‘Little Leg Up’ for British Dressage, assisting with visits from researchers from other institutions, demonstrating and testing equine specific kit, monitoring of Equine Academy riders, as well as having the opportunity to be a co-author on Equestrian Performance Centre projects. It is a hugely varied and interesting role. Applicants should be proficient in Excel as minimum.

We offer excellent benefits including a comprehensive continuous professional development programme, onsite fitness facilities, free onsite parking and lots more.
