Salary Range:
$100,238 - $110,971 pa

Reporting to
Associate Director, Organisational Development & Diversity

This position contributes to the Organisational Development and Diversity function through development of programs, frameworks and interventions that build capability for individuals, teams and the university as a whole. The position will support the Associate Director Organisational Development and Diversity across the broad range of functions including:

  • Performance review and development process
  • Leadership Capability frameworks
  • Interventions supporting cultural surveys such as Your Voice
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Reward and Recognition

This position reports to the Associate Director Organisational Development and Diversity and will work collaboratively with Business Partners and leaders across the University.

Key Position Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of a leadership capability framework for the University through consulting widely to build clarity on the role of the leader in various contexts and the critical capabilities required.
  • Coordinate reward and recognition programs across the university including regular review to ensure alignment with strategy and values.
  • Provide expertise to support P&C Business Partners in the development strategies at team and individual level to build capability and positively influence culture.
  • Support Colleges and Portfolios in delivering their actions under the Diversity and Inclusion strategy.
  • Provide support to the overall governance of the Reconciliation Action Plan through tracking actions and deliverables and preparing reporting to the Oversight Committee.
  • Through an evidence informed approach, drive improvement in the performance review and development process including establishing clear links to outcomes and commitment to the participation.
  • Contribute to preparation of annual compliance reporting on diversity related matters including WGEA.
  • Represent People and Culture on University Committees and/or working groups as required
  • Any other responsibilities in line with the level of the role as assigned by the supervisor and or the University

Key Position Capabilities

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, or related discipline.
  • Previous experience building organisation wide capability frameworks particularly in leadership.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of organisational culture and approaches to positively influencing cultural change.
  • Experience in supporting P&C business partners in developing interventions at team and individual level to build capability.
  • Experience in the development and program management of D&I strategies across a large and complex organisation.
  • Evidence of highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, including coaching, advocacy and influencing skills, presentation and report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Motivated, resilient team player with a drive to support the overall strategic People and Culture and University objectives.
