Applications are invited for a Permanent post of a Professor/Full Professor of General Nursing within UCD School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems.

The UCD School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems is a constituent School of the UCD College of Health and Agricultural Sciences. The position The post of Professor/Full Professor of General Nursing is established to support and strengthen general nursing research and innovation, education, leadership and clinical practice in general's nursing services in active collaboration with colleagues in this School, in the other schools of the UCD College of Health and Agricultural Sciences and throughout the University. Reporting to the Head of School, the post holder will exercise a national and international role on behalf of UCD in research and scholarship, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and academic administration, management and professional organisation in the academic area of Nursing.

The School is committed to research-led education, so the candidate will be expected to conduct research that supports high quality teaching in their field, and to lead innovations in both research and teaching directions. The post-holder will be expected to assume high-level management/administrative responsibilities within the School.

The post holder will develop and strengthen the clinical-academic partnerships that underpin UCD's engagement with the Ireland East Hospital Group to support the development of research, education and training, evidence-based practice and practice development. Appointment will be at the academic grade commensurate with qualifications and experience.

95 Professor Salary scale: €89,411 - €119,509 or 95 Full Professor Salary scale: €123,352 - € 156,067

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
