Salary: £32,587- £37,973 FTE

Based: Hereford

Hereford College of Arts is an independent arts college with a community of staff and students who are passionate about the arts, design, media and performance. We deliver from college-level courses through to undergraduate and postgraduate level, in a city of human scale.

Making and design have been at the heart of HCA for decades and we are now launching a new School to bring together our making and design courses to make the most of opportunities for collaboration and creativity between programmes, and to support the development of work in new directions.

The College is seeking to appoint a highly creative and ambitious Course Leader within the School with primary responsibility for our BA (Hons) Contemporary Design Crafts, and BA (Hons) Jewellery Design.  The post will provide academic and pastoral leadership for the students, as well as giving a clear direction and dynamic leadership to the development of the identity of the course, so that it recruits well and delivers ambitious professional outcomes.

The successful candidate will have an Honours / Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline and recent HE teaching experience preferably with an appropriate teaching qualification, and ideally with an active professional practice.

For an informal discussion please contact the Head of School - Delyth Done, by emailing d.done@hca.ac.uk

For further information and an application pack please contact jobs@hca.ac.uk or contact reception on 01432 273359.

Closing date for applications: 21st February 2022

Interviews will be held week beginning 7th March 2022
