About the Role

We have several exciting opportunities for Lecturers in Nursing and a Lecturer in Nursing and Midwifery, to join the team at UniSA Clinical and Health Sciences. Utilising your contemporary professional and discipline-related knowledge in teaching and practice you will contribute to the delivery of teaching and associated administrative and scholarship activities within the Academic Unit’s undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate and deliver courses on campus, online or via other appropriate methods
  • Maintaining the quality of the courses through course review and development to meet industry and organisational needs, educational requirements and quality standards
  • Applying research and scholarship to the development of courses including investigating and developing innovative teaching methods
  • Contribute to the activities of the Academic Unit by undertaking scholarship in areas of teaching and learning practice
  • Undertake course coordination duties and contribute to program planning, development and evaluation

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Nursing, with a relevant Master’s Degree or PhD qualification, and current registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (for the lecturer in Nursing and Midwifery registration as a Midwife is also required)
  • Ability to undertake a range of teaching duties including the preparation of appropriate teaching materials and resources
  • Ability to enhance the research profile of the Academic Unit through scholarship and supervision of coursework Masters degree and/or HDR students
  • Demonstrated clinical experience/expertise and understanding of global and national policies and priorities in health and midwifery practice
  • High level written and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, external parties and colleagues
