Role Description

We welcome applications for this exciting new post from those with relevant knowledge and experience in computer vision and robotics focusing on modelling and simulation of complex systems.

About the Role

This post will be contributing to research activities focussing on the Computer Vision and Deep Learning elements of projects and specifically support the Centre for Computational Engineering Sciences. The focus will be on the development of a hybrid system based upon computer vision and robotics for autonomous aircraft refuelling and the utilisation of computer vision and AI to achieve the project objectives.

About You

You will be educated to doctoral level in a relevant subject (or close to completion of your PhD), with the necessary technical knowledge and experience with a strong track record of implementing Deep Learning Algorithms to fluid dynamics and categorization of different liquids. Alternatively, you may be considered for a role as Research Assistant, provided you have a relevant Masters level degree & required knowledge and skills. With excellent communication skills, you will be a good team player, enjoy presenting, and have the ability to cope with pressure.  Project planning is also an important skill for these posts and successful applicants will be able to demonstrate self-motivation, perseverance, and initiative.
