Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (holding the title of Research Manager) (several posts) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 509013), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, Gerontology, Nursing, Counseling, Behavioral Health, Mental Health, Health Economics or a related discipline; excellent written and spoken skills in English and Chinese (including Cantonese). Experience in undertaking research related to end-of-life care (EoLC) would be an advantage.

The appointees will work in the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project (JCECC) under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Project, started in 2016, aimed at developing and evaluating an innovative community end-of-life care model which ultimately improves the quality of life of patients and families touched by terminal illness. The appointees are expected to involve in a research team working on cutting-edge research and evaluation studies in end-of-life care, and supervise junior research staff. They will also be engaged in training for healthcare and social care professionals as tutor/facilitator; and perform other duties as assigned. These positions will expose the appointees to both academic research and teaching in the multi-disciplinary EoLC team.
