Job Description
The Department of History of the National University of Singapore is seeking to make a tenure-track appointment, during 2022, at the rank of Assistant Professor.
The successful candidate will have a completed PhD degree in History, and have a strong research agenda rooted in appropriate fields of interest within the wider field of the history of the United States of America. Candidates should have an international profile commensurate with their rank and stage of career. The Department is particularly interested in applicants with research interests and accomplishments in one or more of the following subfields of History: gender; science, technology and society; empire and colonialism; religion; popular culture; international relations; political history and the history of political economy. A demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to teaching the general history of the USA, as well as well as more specialized courses in American history and courses that bring history to broader audiences of undergraduates in the College of the Humanities and Sciences. A competitive remuneration package, based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate, will be offered.
