We are seeking a Registered Children’s Nurse active on the NMC register to join the Children’s Nursing Team in the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health at the University of Southampton. The team is experienced, friendly and supportive and is enthusiastic about developing Children’s Nurses of the future.

You will deliver our highly valued pre-registration single field children’s nursing and dual field nursing programmes. These are delivered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will have an understanding of issues facing contemporary clinical practice in Children’s and Young People’s Nursing. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for high-quality nursing education and has a strong vision for how education and research can transform the care of children, young people and their families.

If your application is commensurate to the requirements primarily for an educationalist, your title will be Senior Teaching Fellow or Principal Teaching Fellow on an education pathway. However, we are also keen to hear from Children’s Nurses who have a passion for teaching students and would like to develop a career in education.

For those applying for a balanced portfolio (research and education) your title will be Lecturer or Associate Professor.
