About the opportunity

The University of Sydney is welcoming applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Stellar Astrophysics. The successful applicant will be working with Professor Tim Bedding and Dr Daniel Huber, within the Sydney Institute for Astronomy in the School of Physics.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• undertake research in asteroseismology, exoplanets or other related areas of stellar astrophysics
• publication of research papers
• assist with grant writing and publishing original work
• support teaching activities via supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

About you

• a PhD (or near completion) in astrophysics or a related field

• excellent communication (written and verbal), organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• a strong track record of publishing their research.
