The Role

  • $35.50 to $38.55 per hour plus 17% superannuation
  • Continuing, part-time (32 hours per week)
  • Wagga Wagga

The Childcare Educator (Diploma) is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate care and education programs for the group of children within their care. To plan, prepare, implement and evaluate, in association with other staff members, indoor and outdoor learning environments, acknowledging childrens individual needs, within the needs of the group as a whole.

To be successful you will have:

  • Diploma of Community Services (Childrens Services) or equivalent and demonstrated experience
  • Experience developing and implementing high-quality educational programs. Incorporating the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and implement Education and Care Services Regulations 2011.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Highly risk-aware and proactive in addressing issues to ensure the continued health and safety of young children, staff and visitors.

As part of this recruitment, pre-employment functional screening is required.

Two doses of the COVID-19 vaccination will be required by 8 November 2021 for all early childhood education and care educators and staff under the current Public Health Order.

Early Learning and Nurture Centre (Wagga Wagga) The Early Learning and Nurture Centre is a community-based centre located on Charles Sturts Wagga Wagga Campus. The centre is licensed to care for 58 children. We welcome children of Charles Sturt University staff and students, children of distance education students who attend Charles Sturt University residential schools, and the wider community. We cater for 16 children per day in the 0-2 age group, 20 children in the 2-3 age group and 22 children in the 3-5 age group
