The Role

  • Fixed Term (up to 3 years)
  • 2.4 FTE available
  • Level B - $100,476 to $119,121 pa FTE (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Port Macquarie or Wagga Wagga (preferred), Sydney (Remote Work)

A number of opportunities currently exist to facilitate student access to quality workplace learning opportunities to assist in the preparation of reflective and ethical professionals.

Charles Sturt leads the way for undergraduate and postgraduate employment in Australia in the field of social work. Our good performance is a testament to the currency of our degree programs and the effectiveness of our workplace learning, industry engagement and initiatives. This position will play a key role in delivering workplace learning via face-to-face liaison and supervision and online teaching and will coordinate workplace learning opportunities.

A number of full time and part time positions are currently available with a preference for the successful candidate(s) to be based on one of our regional campuses. We will consider applicants from the Newcastle/ Sydney/ Wollongong area who may be interested in working with us remotely.

Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) is an essential requirement of this position.

To be successful you will have:

  • A masters qualification relevant to social work or equivalent accreditation and standing
  • Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Minimum of five years (FTE) post-qualifying experience in social work or human services
  • Ability to build strong partnerships, networks, and relationships with a clear understanding of workplace learning in social work
