About the Role

Working on site in Adelaide, South Australia, this role will work within UniSA Online to support the development and delivery of curriculum for the online programs.

This is an exciting opportunity for an industry professional with expertise in Digital Media, which will include contributing to the design, development and teaching of engaging course curricula and materials for the programs. The role will include implementing teaching approaches that maximise the student experience and learning outcomes and will also contribute to the recruitment and development of tutoring staff within UniSA Online.

We are currently recruiting for an Online Lecturer to teach first, second and third year courses into the Bachelor of Digital Media. We are looking for a candidate with technical expertise and teaching experience in several Digital Media areas, including video production, web design, animation and/or graphic design. This experience will ideally be accompanied with experiences and capabilities in design thinking.

Critical to the success of the role will be working on site to establish strong partnerships with stakeholders across the University to ensure that UniSA Online identifies and responds to strategic opportunities, and effectively leading and mentoring academic staff within the teaching team.

Essential Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant industry experience or a postgraduate degree in Digital Media (or a relevant discipline)
  • Demonstrated passion for and proficiency in undertaking teaching duties including the design and preparation of online teaching activities
  • Evidence of recent teaching experience and discipline knowledge within the Digital Media field
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of a wide range of education technologies
  • Understanding and experience in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies
