The College of Engineering, Science, and Environment is a world-class centre for scientific and technology research and innovation. The School of Environmental and Life Sciences is the College’s largest School, offering a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The School undertakes internationally excellent research with substantial numbers of research higher degree students, and has excellent research facilities.

Be part of our Conservation Science Research Group which is one of the most dynamic teams in the School. The group consists of a vibrant group of academics, post-docs and students from across the university seeking to solve the wicked problems facing the environment and biodiversity conservation today.

You will be part of the discipline of environmental science and management in the School of Environmental & Life Sciences. The discipline is a highly applied group that seeks to solve the environmental problems facing our planet. Your position will contribute to undergraduate teaching in key areas such as conservation science and management, as well as first year courses in general environmental science.

This full-time ongoing position will be located at the Callaghan Campus.

You will have a passion for collaborative multidisciplinary science and for applying your skills in conservation science to a wide range of problems, engaging with internal and external stakeholders. You will have the ability to teach into a range of undergraduate courses and to motivate and excite first year students. You will be committed to using modern teaching pedagogies to enhance the student experience and to develop life ready graduates. And you will be focused on excellence in all parts of your role – research, teaching, and engagement.

How will we support you?

The remuneration is $103,221 - $122,576, plus 17% superannuation.

The School of Engineering is one of the most research-intensive Schools within the University.  The School consists of four discipline groupings:

  • Civil and Environmental Engineering and Surveying
