The School of Nursing and Midwifery offers a wide range of nursing and midwifery programs. The undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing/ Midwifery, and Bachelor of Nursing/Psychological Science have in excess of 1000 students enrolled. The Masters of Nursing provides opportunities for a variety of postgraduate specialisations for over approximately 700 students. Professional doctorates in nursing and midwifery, as well as Doctor of Philosophy, offer opportunities for higher degree research. We also have strong international engagement in research and delivery of Bachelor of Nursing (Post-Registration) in Singapore and Mauritius.

In this role

The opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and self-driven academic with an ability to lead and contribute to the teaching and research within the department of nursing and midwifery.

This position will provide you with the opportunity to undertake a crucial role conducting and leading innovative and high impact research and produce conference and seminar papers and publications resulting from that research. You will prepare and deliver subject specific curriculum using teaching methods that engage and inspire students, whilst also contributing to the coordination of subjects and the management of courses.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role you will have completed a PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent accreditation and standing.

You will possess a strong record of research publications, experience in preparing research proposals and demonstrated capacity in curriculum development and teaching.

Your ability to mentor and supervising undergraduate, honours and postgraduate students, and encourage intellectual development and career aspirations of students, will see you succeed in this role.
