The Pro Vice Chancellor (PVC) and Chief Executive Vocational Education and Training (VET) provides strategic leadership and operational management of the VET Portfolio. As a member of the Vice Chancellor’s Leadership Team, the role has delegated responsibility for all VET programs of the University. The PVC and Chief Executive VET will lead the design, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative, high quality education programs and promote opportunities for articulation programs with Swinburne’s Higher Education Schools. The role also has responsibility for the continuous improvement, quality assurance and the development and engagement of a high performing workforce.

Demonstrating an ability to participate in whole-of-University decision making, dynamic candidates will possess transferrable experience from driving complex strategic and operational vocational education and training contexts, plus the professional credibility to execute the sophisticated demands of the role. Outstanding communication skills and a strong customer service ethos are essential as are the abilities to influence, think creatively and exercise effective judgment in a dynamic environment.
