The Role

  • 1x Continuing, Full Time - Bathurst
  • 1x Continuing, Full Time - Port Macquarie
  • 1x Fixed term, Full Time (Up to 12 months) - Bathurst
  • 1x Fixed term, Full Time (Up to 12 months) - Port Macquarie
  • Level A/B - $70,649 to $119,121 pa (plus 17% superannuation)

Actively contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development, and student engagement in the School of Nursing, Paramedicine and Healthcare Sciences, teaching a range of subjects utilising blended models. The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to develop and progress an active research profile aligned to the strategic direction of the School.

This position may also be offered as a Scholarly Teaching Fellow under Clause 30 of the Charles Sturt University Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021. Applicants who are employed on a casual or fixed term basis with at least 12 months of academic employment within the last three years, and who have never held an ongoing position at an Australian University are strongly encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be appointed to a teaching research work function unless employed under the Scholarly Teaching Fellow condition where a teaching focussed appointment may be allocated.

Current registration as a Paramedic with the Paramedicine Board of Australia is an essential requirement for this position.

To be successful you will have:

  • A qualification relevant to paramedicine and appropriate to the level being applied for
  • Current registration as a paramedic with the Paramedicine Board of Australia
  • Evidence of and a demonstrated commitment to the delivery of high-quality student-centred learning and teaching
  • Ability to provide effective leadership in an academic setting
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the discipline gained through industry experience and/or scholarly activities or similar
