  • $70,751 to $95,568 (Level A) or $100,535 to $119,151 per annum (Level B), part-time pro-rata
  • Plus 17% employer superannuation. Salary packaging options are available.

About the Faculty

The Faculty of Science, Agriculture, Business and Law (SABL) is an innovative collaboration of scientists, researchers, and academics designed to deliver outstanding education and practical learning. About the School

The School of Science and Technology comprises subject disciplines including Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Physics and Electronics, Exercise and Sport Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science. The School conducts teaching and research through an exciting range of undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate courses and research degrees by dissertation within these disciplines. These courses are offered via on campus and flexible online education modes. Additionally, the research performance of a number of our disciplines was assessed at 'well above world standard' in the 2018 ERA ratings for research excellence.

About you

The position involves the development and delivery of the practicum programs within the Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and the Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology, with the successful applicant expected to make contributions to curriculum design within the degrees. The applicant will possess excellent communication skills to effectively liaise between students, discipline staff, placement supervisors and industry partners. The incumbent will be clinically active as an accredited exercise physiologist external to this position and will demonstrate a willingness to apply this professional knowledge to contribute to the development and delivery of teaching materials within the Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology.

Skills & Experience

You will have previous experience teaching within the fields of Exercise Science and/or Clinical Exercise Physiology with a demonstrated capacity to apply research to inform practice. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with students, practicum supervisors and industry partners and stakeholders are essential.

As an Associate Lecturer (Level A) you will have a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology or equivalent, be clinically active and maintain accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).

As a Lecturer (Level B) you will hold a PhD (or near completion) in Clinical Exercise Physiology or equivalent and be clinically active and maintain accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
