Make a difference to the next generation

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Placement Officer working with the prestigious Southampton Business School.  This is a unique opportunity to support students with the next stage of their careers. Joining a deeply ambitious team in the Business School, you will have the scope to work with academia, employers and students alike, helping our graduates embark on the brightest careers.

As a member of the Placements team, you will support existing undergraduate student placements, ensuring students receive specialist advice and guidance to make the most of their placements and help them succeed in a competitive employment market.

This is a role where you can genuinely change lives, working closely with local, national, and international employers to encourage placement opportunities for our Business School students, you will visit students on placement and organise placement related events ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently.

Many students have never experienced a work placement before and so the role is of critical importance as you will be the focal point, guiding them and matching aspirations with employers.

This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark within a leading Russell Group university. If you would like to apply for this fascinating challenge, you should be ready to answer one important question:

1) What do you consider to be the key touch points in a student’s placement journey and how would you support them at those touch points?

For an informal discussion about this opportunity, please contact Dr Philip Alford, Director CEPAR, at p.r.alford@soton.ac.uk

Interviews will be held on Monday 1st November.
