The University of Lincoln prides itself on the quality of its teaching, which is reflected in our being recognised as the 2020 Times Modern University of the Year, our Gold award in the national Teaching Excellence Framework.

Students are at the heart of everything we do at Lincoln, from our award-winning teaching to our great industry links and outstanding student experience.

The residential experience was recognised in 2015 as a critical element of student life at the University of Lincoln; the University embarked on a transformational change programme, moving from 1000 to 3000 bed spaces currently, with construction ongoing to increase beds to 4500+ by 2022.

We are looking to appoint a Clerical Assistant to work on our residence receptions within the Universities Student Accommodation Service. The role is primarily a front facing customer service role to support the student & customer experience.

You will support a Higher Education sector leading customer focused service. The role includes assisting students with their day to day enquiries at reception, operating databases, use of Microsoft Office Suite, operating our booking system and administering residential services across 4500+ beds. You will assist the Customer Relations Manager and Administrators in marketing and promoting the Universities accommodation offerings; and work with the Universities conferencing and student services teams.

You will have strong communication and the interpersonal skills necessary to build effective working relationships. You will demonstrate a genuine commitment towards continual service improvement and devising innovative solutions, focused around the customer experience.

The applicant will need to be able to prioritise their own workload, as well as being able to use their own initiative and be flexible to handle the competing priorities of the day to day job. Weekends and some early evening working will be required as part of a roster system.

The closing date above is given as a guide. We reserve the right to close the post early once we have received a sufficient number of applications, so we advise you to submit your application early to prevent disappointment.
