The University of South Australia (UniSA) is Australia’s University of Enterprise and the Australian Centre for Business Growth (the Centre) was established in 2014 to deliver UniSA’s vision for enterprise education, business growth and engagement into the Australian and global business community.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Dean: UniSA Business and working closely with the ANZ Chair of Business Growth, the newly created role of Playford Professor of Business Growth is responsible for the strategic leadership, business development, sustained growth and effective operation of the Centre.

The position will drive engagement with industry, government, funders, and collaborative partners to advance development and innovation in areas including technology application, business innovation and knowledge creation, and in developing and expanding the Centre’s research linkages and activities.

Essential Skills and Experience

We are seeking a highly credible business executive or academic with an outstanding record of advisory work, achievement in company growth, innovation, entrepreneurship, or commercialisation warranting appointment at a professorial level. Demonstrated experience fostering national and international links with relevant industry, business and community, and research experience in topics relevant to business growth and entrepreneurship are important success factors.
