Job Profile Administration - Administrative Roles

Job Purpose

A professional role requiring sound business and commercial awareness, experience and confidence working with Excel and large sets of data, and a desire to cultivate high levels of customer satisfaction.

The Data Coordinator works closely with other members of the Production team, Commercial team and Product Set Up team to ensure timely and accurate data outputs for various points along the customer journey.

They will also work with third parties to ensure accurate product information is available to relevant stakeholders (internal and external).

Job Background

Shepherds Bush is primary office, but will be on hybrid contract, so expectation would be to be in the office 1-2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with, validate and reconcile data derived from different BPP systems and reports, and prepare in various formats for use by stakeholders
  • Undertake reporting tasks, including website performance and daily fulfilment operations, and assisting with budget monitoring
  • Produce reports for department Heads to demonstrate operational and sales performance
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data is available for products, reports, and performance analysis
  • Updating and maintaining the BPP Learning Media website ensuring accuracy of information and availability of products for sale, working with key stakeholders (internal and external), ensuring an excellent customer experience, and maintaining BPP branding and messaging
  • Update Publications Catalogue and Stockist List regularly to ensure accuracy and usefulness as a sales and marketing tool
  • Use commercial awareness and operational understanding to streamline operations and enhance the customer journey and fulfilment processes
  • Provide accurate responses to enquiries and relevant and up-to-date information
  • Provide back up to Print and Fulfilment colleagues during absence and peak periods
  • Effectively undertake any other duties as required

Candidate Criteria

Essential

  • Strong and well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills which can be demonstrated
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data and spot errors and inconsistencies
  • Ability to learn new systems and concepts easily
  • An understanding of the educational publishing market
  • Well organised and self-disciplined with the ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Able to identify priorities, manage workload and maintain high levels of accuracy
  • Able to build good working relationships across all levels
  • Able to demonstrate individual accountability
  • Able to work on own initiative and as a team player
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Administrative experience

Desirable

  • Interest in Marketing and customer journey
  • Interest in education and publishing sectors
  • In depth knowledge of BPP products and services
