The Academic Partnerships Office is an award-winning, dynamic and well-established part of the University of East London. We have successfully grown over the last few years and are now looking to expand our Team further. We wish to appoint to the new role of Global Experience Manager to develop and deliver global experience opportunities for students and staff including Erasmus+, the Turing Scheme, Online International Learning (OIL) and other related projects.

This new role is vital in building on and delivering the University’s ambitious and values-driven internationalisation strategy. Working alongside the Schools and colleagues in other professional services departments, you will lead on shaping the University’s Global Experience plans with our growing network of international partners.  You will ensure that we have a portfolio of opportunities which meet the diverse needs of our students and staff and will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the Global Experiences programme.

You will commit to outstanding customer service to students and staff from the University and our global network of partners. You will have strong collaboration with internal stakeholders as well as supporting operational activity aligned to the University’s ambitious strategy.

We are looking for an experienced international mobility professional who will enjoy working in our fast-paced team. You will need to have excellent communication skills and intercultural awareness as well as a proven track record of delivering programmes to budget, effectively managing teams and working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver results. With a good eye for detail, strong organisation, analytical and interpersonal skills, you will need experience of risk management and evaluation of international mobility programmes.

Vision 2028 has been developed to transform our curriculum, pedagogy, research impact and partnerships to make a positive difference to student, graduate and community success. Our ambitious but achievable goal is to become the leading careers-focused, enterprising university in the UK, one which both prepares our students for the jobs of the future and provides the innovation to drive that future sustainably and inclusively.

Working alongside the Schools, the unit will directly engage with employers, local authorities and academic partners to generate new income and broader commercial engagement opportunities. This includes seeking opportunities to grow continuing professional development income, apprenticeships, internships and placement and other forms of commercial income as well as income and wider educational and reputational benefits from growing our academic partnerships in the UK and globally (physically and online) including validation, franchise, articulation and the University of East London Global experiences.

A successful external candidate for this position would be employed by UEL Professional Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of UEL. Employees of UEL Professional Services Ltd work alongside UEL colleagues in delivery of UEL’s mission, and UEL Professional Services Ltd will adopt UEL HR policies and procedures in full. Further detail regarding employment benefits can be found at the employee benefits section of our recruitment pages.

CVs without a completed application form will not be accepted.

At the University of East London we are committed to working together to build a community which values diversity in both our staff and student populations, is representative and inclusive, enabling all to progress and thrive.
