Applications are invited for the post of ‘Research Fellow in Business Model Innovation’ to join the School of Business and Management at Royal Holloway University of London, working within a stream of research helping the creative industries to meet the challenge of next-generation storytelling – producing compelling content for emerging creative technologies (e.g., augmented, virtual and mixed reality), focusing particularly on immersive experiences.

The focus of the role is to examine business ecosystems and their development in the creative industries – examining both the literature and looking at established areas (such as the music industry) to understand best practice. The intention is that this understanding be used to help develop ecosystems for other areas in the creative industries (i.e., immersive) and develop innovative (digital) business models and value propositions. Either qualified to Doctoral level and/or having significant industry experience in the area, the post holder will have a strong understanding of the state-of-the-art and appropriate research methods/frameworks alongside strong analytical skills. Experience of supporting project delivery and working in a structured project framework/environment would be an advantage as would practical experience of working with/within the creative industries. Good communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with both academic, industrial and Governmental partners are essential. 

The post is available full-time for a two-month period starting in October 2021. The successful applicant will spend significant time working face-to-face with industry partners and people/organisations from markets that business models might identify as appropriate.
