Academic A $69,557 - $94,389 or Academic B - $99,393 - $117,992 per annum (pro-rata) + 17% employer superannuation contribution.  This is a part-time (22.05 hours per week) fixed-term appointment until June 2023.

The Institute for Health and Sport (iHeS) is seeking to recruit a skilled and passionate research officer or post-doctoral researcher to provide support to the Chief Investigator team for the project titled: Future-proofing the Frontline: Strategies to support frontline workers during times of crisis. This project has been funded by the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation to develop and pilot evidence-based support programs for frontline health workers and leaders. Taking a co-designed approach, the project will generate strategies and policy approaches that contribute to mentally healthy workplace cultures.

The Research Officer or Research Fellow will ensure that the project is conducted to the highest standard.  The position will be based at Victoria University’s Institute for Health and Sport facility at Footscray Park.

You will have:

  • Knowledge and training equivalent to a PhD qualification in health systems, social science or relevant health discipline
  • Demonstrated excellent research publication record
  • Strong skills in research design, a co-designed approach to qualitative research methods and qualitative data analysis
  • Excellent track record in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated capacity for undertaking independent and/or team research, including developing, conducting and leading research projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Capacity to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment and contribute to the work of the research team
