About the position

The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine invites applications from qualified candidates interested in joining the Nutrition and Dietetics discipline as an Assistant Professor on a full-time basis for the position of domain lead for Community and Public Health Nutrition.

The position will manage the Community and Public Health Nutrition domain of the Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice program. Responsibilities of the position include leading the teaching and assessment of students, engaging with placement partners to establish and supervise student’s professional placements and research internships, undertake research as well as undertake department-specific service activities aligned to the successful candidate.

About the person:

The successful candidate will be an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with Dietitians Australia. The candidate will also typically hold a Doctoral qualification. They will have a track record of effective teaching, learning, research and academic administration within the higher education sector. Candidates will be expected to have experience in teaching at a university level and supervision of students on professional placements in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics. Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian (AdvAPD) recognition is desirable.
