Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (2 posts) (PR0114/21-22)

The appointees are expected to perform the following roles:

1) to conduct high quality and innovative research using mass spectrometry-based metabolomics approaches;

2) to develop novel analytical methods for metabolic phenotyping of human subjects and for traditional Chinese medicine studies;

3) to apply for external competitive research grants; and

4) to undertake any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have/be:

  • a PhD degree in biomedical sciences or related disciplines with a strong publication record;

  • research experience in one of the areas including Biology, Biochemistry, Metabolomics, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, or Immunology, etc. is desirable;

  • innovative, self-motivated with good planning and organisational skills; and

  • able to work well in an interdisciplinary team.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one to two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subjected to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
