MANAGING DIRECTOR

Salary: £53,704 to £64,891 per annum

We are seeking an outstanding professional individual to join Coventry University Social Enterprise CIC (CUSE) at Coventry University.  CUSE is a Social Enterprise set up as a subsidiary of Coventry University to promote entrepreneurship and social enterprises to stimulate socio-economic development. CUSE, in partnership with the International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship (ICTE) at Coventry University, is responsible to grow the enterprise agenda for Coventry University Group as a whole.

The Managing Director (MD CUSE) provides strategic and operational leadership for managing CUSE to support sustainable socio-economic development through the provision of a world-class enterprise start-up and spin-out support system to Coventry University Group’s staff, students and communities. Specific activities of this job will be to increase the impact of start-ups and spin-outs at Coventry University. The ideal candidate will lead a team growing and developing a high impact inspirational programme of training and development which inspires staff, students and the communities served by Coventry University Group to realise their entrepreneurial potential. In addition, the candidate is expected to develop relationships and partnerships externally/internationally to foster collaboration and generate income. Therefore the person must have a flexible approach to work, experience of working at a senior level within a university, being willing and able to travel nationally and internationally. The candidate should be self-motivated, an effective communicator and able to work as an individual and as a member of a team.
