Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics (Ref.: 508162) (to commence on January 1, 2022 for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Physics. Those with ample research experience in condensed matter theory are welcome to apply. The appointee will work with Professor Wang Yao to pursue research on Berry Phase effects and moiré superlattice physics in two-dimensional materials, and may also have some teaching duties on the subject of quantum mechanics. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
