Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 507970), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree, preferably a doctoral degree, in Nursing or a healthcare-related discipline, plus a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification teaching experience in nursing at tertiary institutions; and be a holder of a valid Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing/Midwives Council of Hong Kong. They should have classroom and clinical teaching experience in undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes, and be competent in curriculum development. Mentoring skills and fluency in both English and Cantonese are essential. Academic research experience would be an advantage. The appointee will play a leading role in nursing education and be responsible for the teaching and coordination of nursing courses. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
