Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences (PHLS) of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 507953), to commence as soon as possible for two to three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in microbiology, bioinformatics, public health, or a related discipline. They should be a self-motivated team player with critical thinking skills. Experience in NGS data analysis, molecular biology techniques, and/or handling microbial pathogens at biosafety level 2 (BSL2) would be an advantage. The appointee will join a multidisciplinary research team to study influenza and other respiratory viruses. Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Dr. H.L. Yen at hyen@hku.hk.
