Come join our newly expanded Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team at a time where we have significantly increased our commitment to this area of work and there is a genuine commitment from the very top of the University to see our ED&I vision be realised. This truly is a unique opportunity to play a key role in practically shaping cultural change.

We are looking for an individual who has an in-depth knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion beyond the limitations of the Equality Act 2010, who can confidently engage people across the whole University community in a way that enables them to identify everyday actions that they can take to create an inclusive culture.

You will be good at quickly establishing trusting working relationships and you will have experience of using facilitation or community development skills to bring about cultural change. Communicating with people across the whole University community is essential to the role; you will have good verbal and written communication skills and know how to adapt your style to reach diverse groups of people.

You will be involved in leading and delivering a variety of projects. You will also act as a go-to person for advice and guidance for staff and students across the whole University community. Your detailed subject matter expertise will shape the equality work of the University. You will have experience of achieving successful outcomes by working collaboratively with others.

We are especially welcoming applications from individuals who come from diverse backgrounds and who have lived experience of being one of only a few in a predominately white, heterosexual and middle-class space.

This post is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. Part-time applications will be considered for 0.8FTE.

Closing date for applications Wednesday 1st September.

Interviews will be held via MS Teams on Friday 17 September.
