Role

We are looking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Biological/Cognitive psychology in the Division of Psychology for maternity cover. The role will include both teaching and research duties to students on undergraduate and postgraduate on British Psychological Society Accredited undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes. Typically, your teaching duties will include preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars, supervision of final year projects, contributing to the personal tutoring scheme, and the devising and marking of assessments. You will be required to contribute to the teaching of research methods to our students. There will be opportunities to become involved in a variety of existing research projects. You will be expected to be research active in psychology.

Ideal Candidate

You will hold a PhD in psychology (or close to completion). We are looking for you to have expertise in Biological/Cognitive psychology and be able to teaching both these subjects to undergraduate students. You will be familiar with delivering teaching and learning within a Higher education or academic-level delivery within commercial settings. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the University community.
