Job Description
The successful candidate will work in the laboratory of Dr Xue Shifeng. The laboratory investigates the functions of epigenetic regulators in embryonic development and the consequences of mutations in congenital diseases.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Designing and executing experiments related to epigenetics
- Guiding junior members including PhD students and research assistants
Qualifications
Qualifications / Discipline:
- PhD in molecular biology, genetics, developmental biology or related fields
- Fresh PhD holders are welcome to apply
Skills:
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and able to work well in a team
- Highly motivated and independent
- Organized, dedicated and reliable
- Critical thinking and scientific achievement in research, exemplified by publications, conference presentations or patents
Experience:
- Excellent knowledge and skill in cell culture and molecular biology, including genome editing
- Knowledge and interest in epigenetics regulation
- Experience with generating and analysing NGS data or performing genome-wide screens will be an advantage
