About the Role

The Lecturer in Speech Pathology makes a significant contribution to teaching, scholarship, research and professional activities within UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance, including the development, coordination and delivery of courses. This position is primarily focused on coordination and teaching in the Speech Pathology discipline, however, due to an increased focus on multidisciplinary teaching, the position may be required to work with multidisciplinary student groups.

With a focus on innovative teaching approaches, you will develop courses that reflect the latest research and contemporary professional practice and you will contribute to high quality research and publications.

Essential Skills and Experience

The level of appointment will depend on qualifications and experience relating to Level A or B requirements. The successful candidate will hold a relevant Bachelor Degree for Level A or a PhD qualification in a relevant discipline for Level B and eligibility for Practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia.

Demonstrated expertise and knowledge in the contemporary practice of Speech Pathology is required, combined with a commitment to research in health practice and the ability to enhance the research profile of the School through collaborative research. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as experience with a range of technologies is important and previous experience and/or a passion for high quality, flexible teaching and learning outcomes will be highly regarded.
