About the opportunity

As a National Imaging Facility (NIF) Total Body Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Facility Fellow, you will support the University of Sydney's flagship Total Body PET facility as part of the University of Sydney/ANSTO node of the National Imaging Facility (NIF). You will be part of a network of NIF Facility Fellows supporting the research activities of NIF at the local and national level. Facility Fellows are the main points of contact for all NIF related infrastructure, and for this position namely the Total Body PET facility. The Fellows play a critical role in the success of NIF by providing strategic advice to imaging and non-imaging scientists on the best tools and protocols, the optimal use of imaging modalities and correct experiments. They also must be actively engaged in outreach initiatives and engagement with internal and external researchers, to help grow activities in the facility. NIF Fellows are required to actively participate in the various networking and promotional opportunities for inter-nodal collaborations and communicate NIF's capability to the wider scientific community, both in academia and industry. For more information about the Total Body PET project, please click here.

This role is primarily located at the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), as the Total Body PET will be located at Royal North Shore Hospital, with some travel to Camperdown campus required.
