The College of Sciences and Engineering (COSE) is a vital contributor to the Tasmanian community, Australia and beyond. It comprises the Australian Maritime College, Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture, School of Natural Sciences, School of Architecture and Design, School of Geography, Planning and Spatial Sciences, School of Engineering, and the School of Information and Communication Technology.
The Executive Dean provides strategic leadership and direction in all aspects of the College’s research and research training, teaching and learning, professional activities, and external engagement in line with the University’s vision and mission. The appointment demands outstanding leadership: an individual who is visionary and collaborative who will bring both deep experience and energy to realising the College’s strategic goals, as well as maintaining effective relationships with the College’s external stakeholders.
Reporting to the Provost, the Executive Dean will be a member of the University’s Executive Team.
