Play a critical role in providing a motivating and high-achieving learning environment in International Business

The University of Adelaide seeks to appoint a visionary leader in International Business with the capacity to inspire staff, advance excellence in research and teaching and enhance the reputation and profile of the Adelaide Business School.

The Associate Professor/Professor of International Business provides academic leadership within the field, encompassing the ability to coordinate an interdisciplinary approach to research and to engage with several research domains across the University as well as work closely with industry partners. The appointee will be expected to publish in leading international journals and other esteemed scholarly outlets.

Reporting to the Dean of the Adelaide Business School, you will contribute to excellence in teaching and research, ensure high quality student graduates, enable research outputs that have national and international impact and lead discipline-based collaborative engagement.

You will lead and encourage an environment of creativity and innovation in the School, and engage with the broader academic and professional community, to promote and enhance the national and international profile of the Discipline, School, and the University.

To be successful you will need:

  • A demonstrated service on editorial boards of leading premier international journals across the International Business discipline.
  • A proven track record of excellence in teaching across the International Business discipline.
  • A demonstrated record of attracting competitive research funding through multiple avenues, and successful project completion and impactful outcomes.
  • Proven track record of building research teams and mentoring more junior academics across disciplines.
  • A demonstrated record of attracting competitive research funding through multiple avenues, and successful project completion and impactful outcomes.
